Today in my Russian History class (which is also partially a lit class) we read part of a memoir by Nadezhda Mandelshtam, the wife of famous poet Osip Mandelshtam, called Hope Abandoned. A couple of weird things: I did a report on the use of editing in a certain sequence of the movie Batleship Potemkin to create suspense...I turned it in to my film studies class yesterday.
